Cambodia- A Farming Culture in the Making

KAC in Cambodia

KAC has been committed over the past few years to helping a small community in Siem Reap, Cambodia. We are partnered with an organization that aims to reach some of the most remote villages in all of Cambodia. Through relationship building and networking we have been able to provide water filters and food to many families here, and we have taken on one of our biggest projects yet- building a farm!

Through this process, KAC hopes to be a blessing to the local community by not only providing sustainable, healthy food but also encouraging families to have sustainable income through the farm so that children can have their parents home with them to supervise and raise them. In this community it is not uncommon for parents to be gone for weeks to months at a time to be able to work to provide for their children. This leaves the children with elderly grandparents, or a lot of the time, by themselves. We hope to provide training and education at this farming center to teach families how they can maintain a healthy, fruitful life and still be able to raise their children safely at the same time.

While a project this size is not without obstacles, we remain hopeful that we will see fruit from this project very soon. We are excited to see how the Lord will move through this newly opened door and how he will use this farm to greatly impact the people in this community.
